അങ്ങനെ മൂസാ ആ അവധി നിറവേറ്റുകയും, തന്റെ കുടുംബവും കൊണ്ട് യാത്രപോകുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള് പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗത്ത് നിന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു തീ കണ്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള് നില്ക്കൂ. ഞാനൊരു തീ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അവിടെ നിന്ന് വല്ല വിവരമോ, അല്ലെങ്കില് ഒരു തീക്കൊള്ളിയോ ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് തന്നേക്കാം. നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് തീ കായാമല്ലോ?(29)
(29) ۞ فَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ مُوسَى الْأَجَلَ وَسَارَ بِأَهْلِهِ آنَسَ مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّورِ نَارًا قَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ امْكُثُوا إِنِّي آنَسْتُ نَارًا لَعَلِّي آتِيكُمْ مِنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ جَذْوَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ
Then, when Musa (Moses) had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he saw a fire in the direction of Tur (Mount). He said to his family: "Wait, I have seen a fire; perhaps I may bring to you from there some information, or a burning fire-brand that you may warm yourselves."(29)
