നിങ്ങള് അവനെ കൊന്നുകളയുകയോ ചുട്ടെരിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യൂ. എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞതല്ലാതെ അപ്പോള് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ (ഇബ്രാഹീമിന്റെ) ജനത മറുപടിയൊന്നും നല്കിയില്ല. എന്നാല് അല്ലാഹു അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അഗ്നിയില് നിന്ന് രക്ഷിച്ചു. വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് തീര്ച്ചയായും അതില് ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളുണ്ട്.(24)
(24) فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا اقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنْجَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
So nothing was the answer of [Ibrahim's (Abraham)] people except that they said: "Kill him or burn him." Then Allah saved him from the fire. Verily, in this are indeed signs for a people who believe.(24)
