(അപ്പോള്) മൂസാ പറഞ്ഞു: നിലം ഉഴുതുവാനോ വിള നനയ്ക്കുവാനോ ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതല്ലാത്ത, പാടുകളൊന്നുമില്ലാത്ത അവികലമായ ഒരു പശുവായിരിക്കണം അതെന്നാണ് അല്ലാഹു പറയുന്നത്. അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ഇപ്പോഴാണ് താങ്കള് ശരിയായ വിവരം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. അങ്ങനെ അവര് അതിനെ അറുത്തു. അവര്ക്കത് നിറവേറ്റുക എളുപ്പമായിരുന്നില്ല.(71)
(71) قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لَا ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ الْأَرْضَ وَلَا تَسْقِي الْحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لَا شِيَةَ فِيهَا ۚ قَالُوا الْآنَ جِئْتَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
He [Musa (Moses)] said, "He says, 'It is a cow neither trained to till the soil nor water the fields, sound, having no other colour except bright yellow.' " They said, "Now you have brought the truth." So they slaughtered it though they were near to not doing it.(71)
