(അപ്പോള്) അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: അത് (പശു) ഏത് തരമായിരിക്കണമെന്ന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിശദീകരിച്ചു തരാന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി താങ്കളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിനോട് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കണം. മൂസാ പറഞ്ഞു: പ്രായം വളരെ കൂടിയതോ വളരെ കുറഞ്ഞതോ അല്ലാത്ത ഇടപ്രായത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു പശുവായിരിക്കണം അതെന്നാണ് അവന് (അല്ലാഹു) പറയുന്നത്. അതിനാല് കല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രകാരം നിങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുക.(68)
(68) قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَنَا مَا هِيَ ۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لَا فَارِضٌ وَلَا بِكْرٌ عَوَانٌ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ فَافْعَلُوا مَا تُؤْمَرُونَ
They said, "Call upon your Lord for us that He may make plain to us what it is!" He said, "He says, 'Verily, it is a cow neither too old nor too young, but (it is) between the two conditions', so do what you are commanded."(68)
