അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: അതിന്റെ നിറമെന്തായിരിക്കണമെന്ന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിശദീകരിച്ചുതരുവാന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി താങ്കള് താങ്കളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിനോട് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കണം. മൂസാ പറഞ്ഞു: കാണികള്ക്ക് കൗതുകം തോന്നിക്കുന്ന, തെളിഞ്ഞ മഞ്ഞനിറമുള്ള ഒരു പശുവായിരിക്കണം അതെന്നാണ് അവന് (അല്ലാഹു) പറയുന്നത്.(69)
(69) قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَنَا مَا لَوْنُهَا ۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ صَفْرَاءُ فَاقِعٌ لَوْنُهَا تَسُرُّ النَّاظِرِينَ
They said, "Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us its colour." He said, "He says, 'It is a yellow cow, bright in its colour, pleasing to the beholders.' "(69)
